Special Guest Host: Josh Rinderknecht
Featured Saint of the Day
: St. Martha
Featured Local Guest:Jeanne Shupe, Recipe of the Month
Featured National Guest: Katrina Zeno, Women of the Third Millennium
Featured Catholic News: Michael Voris, Real Catholic TV

Jeanne Shupe, recipe of the month, was the first guest of the day. The recipe that Jeanne reviewed was submitted by Ruth Burns of Des Moines.

Bacon Wrapped Yummies

1/2 cup of freshly grated Parmesan cheese (plus a little extra for dusting on top)
1 sleeve of Town house crackers (or any buttery cracker, oval shapes are best)
1 lb sliced bacon, cut in half (so you have 1/2 length slices)
Penzeys Spices Northwoods Fire Seasoning (you'll be using just a pinch on each cracker, so amount is to taste)

Preheat oven with rack positioned in mid-oven to 350 degrees.

Place 1 teaspoon of Parmesan cheese on each cracker.
Put a scant pinch of the Northwoods Fire Seasoning on top of the cheese.
Wrap the crackers in one half slice a bacon, being sure to wrap securely, but not too tight (otherwise, you get a butterfly shaped appetizer which is perfectly fine, but not necessarily what you might want with a he-man bowl of chili!)
Place the crackers on a broiler pan, which has been place on top a slightly larger baking sheet (important when considering any possible bacon grease that may cook away to under the broiler pan)

Dust the tops of the appetizers with a smidgen of extra cheese.
Bake the appetizers for 40 minutes, or until golden brown.
Remove from broiler/baking sheet rig and let cool on paper towels
Can be served hot or room temperature.
