James Becker, a native of Des Moines, and a graduate of Dowling Catholic High School, is a member of Focus, a group based out of Denver that goes out onto college campuses and encourages students to incorporate the Catholic Faith into their college lives. The students are challenged to take on and live out the Catholic Faith in all that they do. Focus is currently on 45 college campuses throughout the country. Becker is currently up in Madison, Wisoconsin serving the University of Wisconsin.

Michael Voris, a featured speaker at this year's Faith Matters Conference came on to promote his upcoming appearance at the conference. The conference is designed to help Catholics learn more about their faith, and encourages them to go out and evangelize their faith. KWKY's Fatih Matters Conference will be held this weekend, August 28 and 29th, at the Polk Co. Convention Center in downtown Des Moines.
