Today Michael brought up the interesting existence of an Office of Religious Affairs for the Communist Party in America. He also brought light to a survey among Evangelicals that indicates that their young people are leaving the faith in droves because they weren't taught well in Sunday School.

Tom Chapman, Executive Director for the Iowa Catholic Conference joined Bill and Rich this morning. Tom had some exciting news to share regarding tax credit for those who donate money for Private School Tuition Scholarships. Governor just signed the bill in meeting that they had yesterday to give up to $3 million tax credit to corporations who donate to Private School Tuition Scholarships. The individual tax credit of 65% of the donation is still in effect and the corporation piece is a new and exciting addition.

Joan W. Anderson, author of many inspiring books compiling stories of encounters with angels, joined Bill and Rich for the second interview. Some of the stories she shared with us today include:

There was a family who was trying to adopt and every attempt that they made fell through. Finally they were working with a young pregnant mother who was leaning towards adoption. During the time waiting for the baby, the mother began to show signs of wanting to keep her child.

The mother of this family brought it to prayer one Sunday and asked for a sign. She didn't know what to pray for, because while she desired to be the mother of this baby, she didn't want to go against God's will. After asking her guardian Angel what to pray for, she felt as though the mother carrying the baby was in need of prayers, because she had no one else to pray for her.

After praying, she felt peace with the situation and knew that God's will would be done. When she sat back down from the knealer she sat on a pacifier. 2 weeks later the baby was born and this woman became a mother.

The second story she told was of a small boy who had down sindrome and his mother. His mother was anxious about sending him to a new school. The change would be good for him, but she worried about him being alone. Every once in a while the boy would ask his mother to go to bed early because he wanted to "Talk to the Yellow Man." Having a small vocabulary, his mother often wondered about the yellow man. Finally they sat down with him and showed him different pictures from magazines and books to discover who the yellow man was. When they flipped to a picture of an angel, the boy said, "Yellow Man!" and the mother knew that it was God's way of showing her that her son would never be alone.
