Father Chris Fontanini, Vocations Director of the Diocese of Des Moines, joined Bill and Rich for their first interview. At the end of the month Father Chris is going to be moving on from his position as Vocations Director. With Bill and Rich he spoke about his future plans. For the summer he will be spending time with St. Catherine of Siena Parish. Then in the fall he will be full-time at Dowling until the end of December. In the Spring he will be going on sabbatical where he hopes to spend some time in Rome with the North American Seminary, and go on an eight day retreat.

In July Father David Muenchrath will be taking over as the Vocations Director for Des Moines. For more information check out vocationsonline.com

Dr. Don Martin, author of the book "Road Map For Graduate Study," joined Bill and Rich for second interview. In his book Dr. Martin discusses things to look for when selecting a graduate school and myths associated with continuing on with one's education. The myths that he focused on for the show were:
  1. Affordability
  2. Need to be a rocket scientist
  3. Need to go to top ranked school for it to be worthwhile
  4. For those who are starting grad school later in life they believe that they are too old
The main thing Dr. Martin wanted his readers to keep in mind when considering a graduate school was to take time researching because it is all about you and your education.

People interested in purchasing Dr. Martin's book can go to his website www.gradschoolroadmap.com He also said that a good place to help one look for information about graduate schools was www.gradschools.com
